  1. Basic Operations
  2. ---------------------
  3. Basically, "GR-30 Editor" does NOT break GR-30's user patches, because it works on GR-30's temporary patch.
  4. The only case of breaking GR-30's user patches, is execution of "Send All Patches" of MIDI menu.

  6. Connect MIDIs
  7. ---------------------
  8. Connect computer's MIDI OUT to GR-30's MIDI IN, and GR-30's MIDI OUT to computer's MIDI IN.

  10. Edit Patch Parameters
  11. ---------------------
  12. Select patch parameter windows from Window menu.
  13. Please refer to GR-30's operation manual about the details of each patch parameter.
  14. "Get All Parameters" of MIDI menu causes to read GR-30's temporary patch.
  15. And, "Send All Parameters" of MIDI menu causes to transfer editor's temporary patch to GR-30's temporary patch.

  17. Save Patches
  18. ---------------------
  19. First, execute "New Library" of File menu.
  20. Then click "A11" to select patch, and execute "Write Back to Library" of Edit menu.
  21. And execute "Save As..." of File menu to save your new patch.

  23. Patch Library File
  24. ---------------------
  25. A Library File includes 128 patches. 
  26. For change the patch name, click it and press return.
  27. Double-clicking selects the patch as temporary.
  28. For indicates the current patch, check mark appears on the selected patch.  (Windows version: the number and name appears at the top of library window.)
  29. In this situation, the current patch of library is edited with temporary patch at the same time.
  30. If you don't want to change library's patch with temporary patch, uncheck "Synchronous Edit with Library" of Edit menu.

  32. Transfer Patch Library
  33. ---------------------
  34. For reading GR-30's all user patches, execute "Get All Patches as New" of MIDI menu.
  35. The other way, if you want to write all GR-30's user patches, execute "Send All Patches" of MIDI menu.
  36. Caution:
  37. The execution of "Send All Patches" causes writing over all GR-30's user patches.
  38. We recommend you to get all patches, and save as library file.

  40. Arpeggio Window
  41. ---------------------
  42. For making arpeggio patterns, click the grid (pop-up menu appears) and choose velocity or tie.
  43. Option-clicking on the grid allows to chage the tie length quickly.

  46. All strings edit (Mac version only)
  47. ---------------------
  48. As for the parameters which can be set each string, the editing with option key sets the parameters of all strings as same value.
